JOHANNA - intellectual introduction of Small cruise shipping in Baltics
Strategic Self-Management Institute (SSI) together with partners from Germany, Sweden, Denmark and Poland started implementation in 2019-2022 South Baltic programme project JOHANNA, dedicated to working out learning programmes for Small cruise ships (SCS) staff and guides.
South Baltic region is very active on advanced innovations related to Blue Green, Sustainable and Smart growth. One from 5 EU flagship Blue growth initiatives - Marine and coastal tourism in line with large cruise shipping discovered advantages of Small cruise shipping inside and outside of Baltic Sea. This small cruise shipping innovation needs of scientific and educational support especially in fields of staff and guides skills and abilities development trough working out and introduction of special learning programmes. German, Polish, Swedish and Lithuanian research centres, universities, municipalities and ports initiated and joined the best intellectual facilities for working out learning programmes and tools on SCS staff and guides education. Leading partner is Hanseatic and University City Rostock, Germany.
