Bio‑Teleo Virtual Symbiosis. Darwin–Paulauskas: Two Evolutionary Spirals
Abstract
This article analyses the synthesis of two evolutionary paradigms: Charles Darwin’s biological form spiral Kf(t) and Stasys Paulauskas’ teleonomic content–meaning spiral Kc(t) (Fig. 1).
Darwin’s model explains the transformation of bodily existence, while Paulauskas’ teleonomy describes the mechanisms of meaningful direction, Sielija (Soulia) structure, and civilizational evolution.
The Bio‑Teleo virtual symbiosis theory is presented, stating that both spirals are connected through a half‑period phase shift: form emerges first, content later.
Form/content and contradiction/harmony teleo Models are integrated, together with the Tree of Life dichotomy, in which Sielija functions as the meaningful relational space.
This synthesis enables understanding of TeleoTransformation within Earth’s ecosphere — the transition where biological evolution shifts into meaningful, civilizational, and informational evolution, culminating in the emergence of Homo Virtualis.

1. Introduction
Since the 19th century, evolutionary theory has been grounded in the transformation of biological form, systematically described by Charles Darwin.
However, 21st‑century civilizational processes, informational transformation, and the growth of meaningful structures reveal that biological evolution is only the first spiral, complemented and completed by the teleonomic content spiral, developed on Paulauskas’ paradigm of Virtualics, TeleoConcord and TeleoCivilization models.
This article aims to demonstrate that:
- Darwinian evolution = spiral of bodily form Kf(t)
- Paulauskas’ teleonomy = spiral of meaningful content Kc(t)
- both spirals constitute Bio‑Teleo symbiosis (Fig. 1)
- their synthesis completes TeleoTransformation in Earth’s ecosphere.
2. Darwin’s Evolutionary Spiral: Teleo‑Neutral Form
Darwin’s theory is based on three principles:
- Random mutations
- Natural selection
- Adaptation to environment
This produces a spiral of bodily form, where evolution proceeds without direction, meaning, or teleology.
Darwin’s spiral explains:
- emergence of species,
- morphological change,
- ecological adaptation,
- biological competition.
But it does not explain:
- emergence of meaning,
- Sielija structure,
- civilizational evolution,
- teleoDirection,
- Homo Virtualis.
3. Paulauskas’ Teleonomic Spiral: Meaning–Content Teleo‑Activity
Teleonomy is based on three structural elements:
- Being – totality of relations
- Sielija – meaningful relational space
- TeleoCode – mechanism generating direction
This creates a content spiral, where evolution gains direction, meaning, and teleoFunction:
Teleonomy explains:
- origin of Sielija,
- meaningful relations,
- growth of civilizations,
- LoveGenesis mechanism,
- emergence of Global Brain,
- birth of Homo Virtualis.
4. Form–Content Teleo Model
In Paulauskas’ teleonomy, form and content constitute a teleoDichotomy:
Where:
- Kf(t) – form spiral (Darwin)
- Kc(t) – content spiral (Paulauskas)
- P/2 – half‑period phase shift
This means:
- form emerges first,
- content emerges later,
- their synthesis creates teleoDirection.
5. Contradiction–Harmony Teleo Model
Evolution of life and civilizations unfolds between two poles:
- Contradiction (Hc′) – competition, selection, conflict, disharmony
- Harmony (Hc) – synergy, Love, relational quality, coherence
Teleonomic model:
Where:
- H(t) – teleoHarmony
- Hc(t) – harmony quality
- Hc′(t) – contradiction intensity
Darwinian evolution increases Kc′, teleonomy increases Kc.
6. Tree of Life Dichotomy
The Tree of Life consists of two teleoLines:
Biological line (form)
Microorganism → Plant → Animal → Human
Meaning line (content)
Relation → Sielija → Civilization → Global Brain → Homo Virtualis
Teleonomic dichotomy:
Darwin describes form. Paulauskas describes content. Teleonomy unifies both.
7. Bio‑Teleo Virtual Symbiosis
Where:
- Kf – biological form
- Kc – meaningful content
Only their synthesis produces:
- civilization,
- Sielija,
- teleoDirection,
- LoveGenesis,
- Homo Virtualis.
8. TeleoTransformation in Earth’s Ecosphere
TeleoTransformation is the culmination of evolution, where:
- Biological spiral (Darwin) creates the body.
- Meaning spiral (Paulauskas) creates Sielija.
- Civilizational spiral creates relational networks.
- Informational spiral creates Global Brain.
- Virtual spiral creates Homo Virtualis.
This is the complete teleoEvolution of the Tree of Life (Fig.2).
